Oh...my...gosh BIG NEWS!!
Tonight I went to a Dodger game. It was an Exhibition game against the Angels. My Dad and I got there a little before 6:00pm, the game was scheduled for 7:10pm. We always get there a little early. It's fun to walk around, take in the stadium, watch the other team's batting practice. My Dad gave me a Sharpie and I went down to the dugout area to wait for Shawn Green to come out. He almost always signed autographs before the games last season, so I hoped I'd have a good chance tonight. I talked with the people around me. Many commented that they liked my jersey (it's excatly like Shawn's). :) At 6:50, he emerged from the dugout. I was just in awe to be that close to him. I couldn't believe it hehe. I waved and he saw me, coolie hehe. He motioned for me to go to the other side from where I was standing with the other fans while he ran to go do his warm ups. Other followed me. The other Dodgers were now warming up too, but I knew we all were waiting for Shawn. There was a guy next to me and we started talking. I told him how much I loved Shawn and how much it would mean to me to meet him. When Shawn was done, he began to walk over to where all of us were waiting, a small crowd had formed now. The guy next to me screamed at Shawn, "Hey Shawn, I've got a big fan here, big fan!!" and with that, Shawn walked right over to me!! He was smiling and looking right at me. My head was spinning. All I could say was, "I love you so much!! as he signed my ticket. He gave me back my signed ticket and my Sharpie and as he was starting to reach for the next person's ticket, I stuck out my hand and he smiled and shook it. I actually touched his hand, wow what a rush!! I am so happy I did that. So, that's my Greenie story. After 4 years, I finally met my Shawn and it was a night I will never forget. :)
