Wonderful Weekend
Good evening!! This weekend one of my best friends, Jennifer, came over for the first time. She came on Friday and left this afternoon. We had a lot of fun. Friday evening we went and saw "Phone Booth" with Michael. I give it 3.5 stars, it's an excellent film. We also watched the first part of "The Virgin Suicides". On Saturday we headed over to Hollywood where my Dad showed Jennifer around his work. We also went to the Grove. After that it was time to do some work. The reason we went to Hollywood was to go to MOCA for our 3D Design paper that we have to write. We had a magazine which said the hours, so when we got there around 2:00 we figured we'd be fine. Wrong. It was closed. Only this evening did Jennifer find out why: for renovations. Ah well. We went to nearby LACMA and that ended up being great. We saw so many beautiuful paitnings, sculptures, fabrics, and reliefs that I just couldn't pick one favorite and that was only one building!! I'd love to go back there some time. We took the bus home. The bus went on on the freeway, which I thought was coolie. When we got home, my Mom had made a yummy dinner which was almost ready. Something about waiting for the bus while the wind is blowing really hard, makes you hungry hehe. We watched more of "The Virgin Suicides" before dinner. During dinner we finished "The Virgin Suicides". I looked in the T.V. Guide and saw that "Cruel Intentions" was on. Jennifer had never seen it, so we put it on. We were both getting sleepy by the time it was over, but we knew we had to stay awake to see Good Charlotte on SNL. MTV had on "Sorority Life" so we decided that'd be good. We had fun laughing at some of the weird rituals of the DZO girls hehe. Finally it was time for SNL. Good Charlotte were great. It was so hard staying up for their second performace, but we did it hehe. We slept late and had waffles this morning for breakfast. We ran an errand, had lunch, finished the art projects we were working on, and then it was time to take Jennifer home. I had such a nice time with her. I can't wait until she can come back again. :)
