I've Fallen
Deeper and Deeper and Deeper in Love...

with HANSON hehe The title for this entry is from a new Hanson song called, "Deeper", for your information. Yesterday, I attended a taping of Jay Leno to see Hanson. Here's what happened:

I woke up at 6:00am after a night of about an hour's rest. I was too excited to even think of sleeping. I hadn't seen Hanson in about 2 years and ITZ been 3 years since I last saw them in concert. I got dressed: my Hanson shirt and jeans. I did my make-up, making sure that I used waterproof mascara in case I cried hehe. My Dad offered to take me over to NBC Studios. I wanted to get there as early as possible. For Jay Leno, they hand out tickets at the box office at 8:00am. We got there at 7:20am. The 3 times I previously attended a taping, I had my ticket in advance, so this was a first. I was surprised to see that the line was not very long. I had mixed emotions about this. I felt good for me knowing I would undoubtedly get a ticket, but sad for Hanson knowing that they didn't draw a line around the block, at the drop in fans. I took my place at the end of the line. I quickly noticed I was the only person wearing a Hanson shirt. I smiled at this, deciding it was cool that I stood out hehe. Soon I was joined by a sweet girl named Maryanne and her boyfriend, Kenny. They were nice to talk to. As it turned out, Maryanne and I had been to all of the same concerts and we both loved Taylor. We did MadLibs from her book, chatted and laughed. The time passed quickly and soon it was time for the tickets to be distributed. As I got closer to the desk, I got a bit nervous, seeing only a handful of tickets in the NBC guy's hand. Distracting me, two girls were going through the line asking to cut because the got separated from their group. I'm sorry, but there was no way I was going to let them ahead of me. I wasn't going to risk the chance of getting a ticket for two girls who could have been lying anyway. I know it sounds mean and maybe it would have been different if it wasn't a Hanson thing, but the fact is it was and they are my favorite band in the whole world and I wasn't missing them for anything or anybody!! Period. As it turns out someone did let them cut I guess and the got into the show. After I got my ticket I felt a sense of relief. Maryanne, Kenny, and I ran to the other side of the building in a mad dash to secure a place in line. You see, at Leno, even if you get a ticket that doesn't guarantee you entry into the show. It all depends on where you are in line. When we caught our breath and sat down I was very pleased with where we were. They decided to walk around. I sat there saving their place when a girl sat down next to me. It turns out it was a girl named Kira, whose post I happened to read on the Hansonline Message Boards the night before. What a small world!! She had a friend with her, Kristin. They had traveled 2 hours to get there. Now that's dedication!! We all talked about our Hanson experiences. It was so nice to talk to Hanson fans in person again. None of my friends like Hanson, so the only way I talk to fans is on the Boards hehe. So, two hours passed. I spent the time going back and forth between talking to Maryanne, Kira, and Kristin. At around 10:00am, we were joined by another girl. Her name was Martina, the same as my Mom!! She was with her parents, they were all visiting here from Texas. She had a lot energy and a lot to say. I really liked her accent. Kira, Kristin, Martina, and I soon became friends. We all got along very well and had a nice time. Time passed slowly. Finally it was noon, we had been there 5 hours. The Mobile station had a sub sandwich place inside it so, we made our way across the street, trying not to get killed because the streets are crazy in Burbank LOL. We looked around inside and looked the magazines. Kristin, Kira and I got sandwiches made very slowly by the woman behind the counter. I didn't mind, though, anything that passed the time was fine with me. Martina got a personal pizza. When our stuff was ready, we made our way back across the street to our spot in line. At this point, I needed a potty break so I went around t Guest Relations. The AC felt like Heaven as I walked in the door. For Kyle: The bathroom was nice, very clean hehe. After lunch, time seemed to speed up. Kristin, Kira, Martina, and I talked more and laughed as we looked at the ugly fashions inside Teen Vogue hehe. We decided to go to Guest Relations for a make-up check and to cool off a bit. Maryanne and her boyfriend were there. We said hi and sat down. "Days of our Lives" was on TV After we fixed our make-up and had cooled off in the lovely air-conditioning, we went back to the line. It had been growing as the hours after lunch passed. There were now cups and ice water and lemonade. Yummy hehe. At about 3:45, NBC people came to start checking I.D.s and tickets. A lady tried to bust me, thinking all I had was a college I.D., but not proof of age. I proved her wrong!! My college I.D. has my birthday, so ha ha ha LOL. Some people tried to cut in line, but it was sorted out and they were put in the back. We were all protesting hehe. When we got in the studio, Kira, Kristin, Martina, and I got to sit together, yay!! I loved where we sat. It was perfect, 5th row, center, on the bottom. It was a pretty good show, I wasn't impressed with Bill Mahr at all *ew*, but Serena Williams was cute and very sweet. The break before Hanson performed was sooo long, or it seemed so because I had been waiting all day for those two minutes when I would see my boys, my most favorite band of all time ever, performing. The moment had come. The scrim rose and there they were, Hanson!! They looked and sounded wonderful. I did not cry and I had been so sure I was going to. I was just awed by their voices, the music coming from their guitars, their looks, especially Tay who looked as gorgeous as ever. (I'll post pics. A.S.A.P.) I took it all in trying savor each note, each harmony, not wanting it to end. But it did. It was over and we were leaving the studio. I said goodbye to my new friends and went to go wait for my bus. So, that's my story.

Tomorrow, I am getting up early to buy a ticket to see Hanson at the Roxy on August 28. Wo hoo!!
