Updates and a Great Link July 3, 2005 Last Sunday, I turned 22. I started my day by seeing "War of the Worlds" with Kyle and Jennifer. It was definitely weird seeing a movie, especially this one, without Michael. We all missed him. What a great movie, though!! Speilberg did an excellent job directing, the score by John Willaims was fantastic, and the acting by everyone in cast (I love Dakota Fanning!! She is too good for her age. hehe) was brilliant.

Then we had dinner which was: Grilled chicken marinated in lemon juice, garlic, and olive oil *yum*, my Mom's famous potato salad (the best!!), and pasta salad. It was nice just sitting and talking and for Jennifer and Kyle to have met my Aunt Trudy and cousin-in-law, Sarah (Sam and Jacob's mommy). Later everyone sang "Happy Birthday" and I blew out the candles. I got all of them in one!! Yay hehe I had Angel's Food cake with an assortment fresh fruit (strawberries, bananas, apricots, blueberries, and raspberries), and everyone could choose what they wanted, and to go on top either fat free whipped cream or the regular hehe. After cake, Jennifer and Kyle went home. I'm soo glad the came. My Dad and I left for the D-Backs game at Dodger Stadium soon after. My Dad and I took a nice slow drive over to the stadium. We walked in up the hill, across the parking lot, and then to our Field level seats. We went right over to the D-Backs dugout to wait for Shawn Green to come out. There was already an autograph line forming. I felt very cool in my *official* Arizona Diamondbacks Green shirt. :) While we were waiting, Jason came by and said hello and happy birthday. That was sweet of him. :) Craig Counsell came up from the dugout and I yelled, "Counsell!!" which made him turn around and he waved hehe I did the same thing in SD a few months ago. He must think I'm his biggest fan LOL. Finally Shawn came out and the fans and I all cheered. It was quite fun. Shawn eventually came over for autographs, but to the side where first base is, so I had to shuffle through a few rows to get over to him. I didn't get an autograph, but I was happy just because I got really close to him *sigh* hehe I have two tickets and a picture signed already anyways, so it was fine. My Dad and I went to our seats in right field on the Field level. I loved our seats!! Shawn was in view all night. *Yay* Well, the game got off to a great start. Greenie hit a homerun!! I jumped out of my seat and screamed. What a nice present for him to give me. Aww, he loves me LOL. My Dad and I went down and got the ball after the next inning was over. So, now I have a Shawn Green homerun ball that he actually touched. Another great present!! The Diamondbacks ended up winning 10-3, a W for AZ pitcher Brad Halsey, who I think is a total cutie. The evening ended with a fireworks show that had to be cut short because fires broke out in the hills. My Dad and I laughed when that happened because we felt bad for all of the Dodger fans who just saw their team lose badly and then no fireworks. :( It was def. one of my best birthdays ever and if only a certain person could have been there it would have *perfect*.
