It's Official
Hello everyone. I am at home enjoying my day off, so I decided to tell you about my date with Santiago this past Saturday.

Amanda and Santiago

Santiago's Dad came to pick me up at 4:00 and took Santiago and I to CityWalk. We had planned on going to Gillian's for bowling and then to see "The Pianist" later that evening. When we got to the bowling alley, we were told it was closed for a private party until 11:00pm that night. Grrr!! So, we decided to walk around CityWalk and head off to the Galleria for the movie later. I had a nice time just looking in the stores with him, we talked and smiled and joked, it was really nice. :) We looked in a lot of the stores. Santiago found a book he'd been looking for for ages. While we were walking around one of the vendors was selling this thing where you can put your handprints in and he looked at us and said, "Great for couples!!", we just smiled shyly at each other. After that we went back to the shuttle that would take us down the hill. It was almost 6:00 then. We waited at the station and just as we sat down, the bus came. Funny how that happens hehe. When we were sitting on the bus, Santiago just stared at me and smiled like he's done before. I love it when he does that. His smile is so sweet, it's my favorite thing about him. When we got to the theatre box office, we saw that the time for the movie was 7:40. Santiago bought my ticket, which was really nice of him. I had my money out and I said, "I can pay!!", but he refused hehe. It was about 6:30 then, so we decided to go to Tower Records to pass the time. We looked around and I found two CDs that I wanted, John Mayer and a Bon Jovi Greatest Hits CD. Santiago found a Pink Floyd CD. He stopped to calculate how much it would be becaise is was 25% off on sale. He asked me how much the food was at Fuddrucker's, where we planned on going after the movie. I told him, "How about since you paid for the movie, I'll pay for dinner? Then you can buy your C.D.", he looked at me and said, "Really? Ohh thank you" and he gave me a hug. Perfect hehe. We bought our CDs and went up to the theatre. When we got in, it was still a little early, so we sat down to wait until we would be let in. Again, just as we sat down, a man came out an said "The Pianist" would now begin seating. We thought that was funny. We found seats, in the center Michael hehe. Santiago asked me if I wanted anything and I said a water and Gummi Bears. He went and got them for me. Another sweet thing!! Finally it was time for the movie and we both watched intently as the story unfolded on the screen. I thought it was just as great, if not better, the second time around. Santiago thought it was great as well. When we got to FuddRucker's I decided to call my Dad for a ride home. Bad idea. It was really late, but he'd always said to just call and he'd come, so I thought it'd be ok, but apprently he'd had a terrible day at work and was not in a good mood at all. Tears started going down my face and Santiago got a napkin and began wiping them away. He held my hand and kissed it. He put his hand on my cheek and smiled. Anything to make me feel better. He did so many things in that one moment that I'd always wanted my ex to do or anyone to do that I could have started crying just from happiness hehe. We ate our dinner, which he enjoyed, so I was happy. The best part of the night came next. We sat at the bus stop to wait for my Dad to pick me up. He put his arm around me and just held me, again, I could have burst into tears from sheer joy. We held each other's hand and just sat there not talking, him holding me. I could have stayed like that forever. At one point, I turned to him and asked, "Am I your girlfiend", "I dunno, am I your boyfriend?", "I'd like you to be", "OK, then I am" and he smiled and held me closer. My Dad came and it was time to say goodnight. We hugged and he kissed me on the cheek. So many good things all in one unforgettable night. So, we are officially girlfriend and boyfriend and I couldn't be happier. :)

Love,
Amanda
